I have been on this island for a little over a year now, it has changed my life structure and my work methodology.
One of the things that surprised me is that there is no artisan screen printing workshop on this island! There are so many in Barcelona and other cities in Europe, but rural life is different and so is the custom of working seasonally. Once I have established my workshop here, it occurred to me to offer screen printing workshops, where I could teach this technique unknown to many.
Screen printing is a versatile and popular printing technique that transfers ink onto various surfaces using a mesh screen. It offers vibrant colors, durability, and the ability to reproduce intricate details. Widely used in apparel, signage, and art, screen printing is a versatile method cherished by creators across industries.
Since I started to offer one workshop a month, more and more artists, designers, makers… have become very interested in this technique because it can be applied to so many supports. I’ve been running this format of introductory workshops to screen printing for three months now and I find it great fun to teach the technique to the creative people who live on this island.

With this change of life in many ways, it seems more important than ever to share techniques and create communities where we can exchange information and resources that will help us to grow at all levels. If you are interested in learning and maybe being part of this printer community, write me!
